My name is Lauren Palek (she/they)
I am an artist based in New Philadelphia, OH
I work in a steel mill full time but on the side I like to do art

My work explores my connection to both the natural world and industry. I like to express that life is about slowing down and enjoying the little moments that make the struggles worth it. I use saturated colors to express a childlike wonder and use subjects that are often mundane to show even the smallest moment could be almost like a dream. My works invite you into your nostalgia to remember your younger days and bring them into the present.
